Alan Matthew Blashaw, 61, of Bethlehem, Georgia, formerly of Falconer, passed away unexpectedly Thursday (July 28, 2022) at his Georgia home.

He was born in Jamestown on January 25, 1961 to David A. and Doris L. Studd Blashaw.

Alan graduated with honors from Falconer High School in 1979 and graduated from the Electronic Technology Institute (ETI) in Cleveland, Ohio. He began his career as a computer engineer at Data General and quickly expanded into computer programming and web development for various organizations. He was currently employed by Zaxby’s Franchising in Athens, Georgia.

Alan was the youth baseball coach at the Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, Georgia for over 20 years. He was also heavily involved in various wrestling programs across the state. He enjoyed spending time with his twin sons, visiting friends, fishing, writing music for YouTube, playing the guitar and singing karaoke. He will be remembered for his patience, wisdom and quirky sense of humor.

Alan is survived by twin sons: Alan (Charlie) Blashaw Jr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee and David M. Blashaw of Georgia; his mother Doris L. Blashaw of Jamestown; his brother Scott (Heidi) Blashaw of Littleton, Colorado; two sisters: Terrilynn (Peter) Feraldi by Falconer and Jackie Sue Blashaw Spontaneo (Dan) by Busti; several nieces and nephews: Drew Blashaw, Seth Blashaw, Amber Feraldi, Alicia (Brenden) Blair, Amanda Feraldi, and Paige O’Brien; two great-nephews: Orion Blair and Carson David O’Brien; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

His father, David A. Blashaw, died on July 13, 2002; his maternal grandparents, Warren and Freda Studd; and his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Marybell Blashaw.

Information regarding Falconer Funeral Home services will be provided at a later date. Burial will take place at Allenfriedhof.

A memorial service will also be held on Saturday (August 13, 2022) at 7:30 p.m. at the baseball fields of the Hebron Baptist Church at 775 Dacula Road, Dacula, GA 30019. This memorial service will also be broadcast online.
