Campbell sweeps Longwood women’s tennis 7-0

FARMVILLE, VA – Campbell University defeated the Longwood women’s tennis team 7-0.

Camels rookies Marissa Pennings and Abbie Tyler and sophomores Mariana Ossa and Sandra Gines defeated Lonwood (7-13, 2-6) Junior 6-4 Maria Saez and second graders Nina Heiderich doubled in No.2 and sophomore Zoe Barton and newbie Viktoria Czerny in doubles No. 3. No. 1 doubles between sophomore Rhona Cook and freshman Mialy Ranaivo and senior Emma Nurgazieva and newbie Karina Rizvanova was not finished as the camels took the colon.

In the No. 1 singles, Cook defeated Nurgazieva in straight sets. Ranaivo defeated Czerny 6-3, 6-4 in nN.3 singles. The Camels finished their sweep with Pennings winning the No. 2 singles, Gines winning the No. 4 singles, then Ossa prevailing in the No. 5 singles and finally Tyler winning the No. 6 singles finished in singles, each in straight sets.
