In the past few years, we’ve come across smartwatches and rings with advanced tracking features that weren’t present in their traditional counterparts. The same idea applies to Sengled’s health monitoring lamp, which at first glance looks ordinary.

This smart home product is designed to monitor a person’s health, including checking vital signs as well as heart rate, body temperature, and sleep quality using the company’s AI, Gizmodo reported.

In addition, it changes the colors of the lights as a signal for an update to the user or to the other people.

Sengled Bulbs can recognize human behavior

Another report from Digital Trends suggested that humans could pair many smart lightbulbs to identify human behavior through a virtual map. According to Sengled, smart lightbulbs can give warnings if a person suddenly falls into a room. This would also signal an automatic emergency call.

In addition, the health-conscious lightbulb contains radar sensors, which are useful for detecting even the smallest signal changes from a person’s heart and lungs.

To make it more suitable for healthcare, Sengled collects data from these sensors and forwards the health information to the user via AI algorithms.

You no longer have to worry about connectivity as it enables WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, there is a color rendering index (CRI) of over 90 for this smart home device. This means it can generate different colors that you want to display.

What’s more, it’s also compatible with multiple voice assistants and platforms like Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Samsung’s SmartThings, and Google Assistant.

Release date of the Sengled lightbulb

At the time of writing, Digital Trends wrote that the Sengled Smart Health Monitoring Light is still in the development phase. The company has not yet released any details about its pricing or the accuracy of its health monitoring capabilities.

The only information that we know so far is the start date, which is planned for the fourth quarter of 2022.
