My father helped me in situations when I needed him most. When a car salesman tried to cheat me financially, my father showed up on the spot. When a former friend did something incredibly crazy and was speechless, my father was right by my side.

My father and I traveled to beaches and big cities together, and attended numerous family celebrations. My father doesn’t work or even try to be the favorite cousin or favorite uncle. He is easy. Basically, it’s because he has a good relationship with our family and really cares about everyone’s happiness and wellbeing.

My father and I were spotted on the lawn of the South Carolina State House once while he was visiting me at Columbia College. One of my father’s lab assistants thought I might be his mistress. What a shame about you, m’am! I was just my father’s pretty, well-dressed daughter!

Simply put, I am a daughter who loves and values everything that her father has done for her all of her life. Papa couldn’t have been more caring, supportive, accepting, and loving. Happy Father’s Day, Dad and many, many more!

And everyone in Cabarrus County and beyond, Happy Father’s Day to you too!
