Francesca is a licensed psychologist and research faculty member at the University of Nevada, Reno Counseling Services (CS). She spends part of her time at CS providing individual and group therapy for college students and part of her time researching evidence-based treatments at college counseling centers. Although trained as a generalist, she has specific experiences and interests in the areas of trauma and adversity, suicidal tendencies and working with LGBTQ+ people. She has a strong educational background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and works to integrate these frameworks with other treatment approaches to best meet an individual’s needs. She is committed to providing affirmative and culturally sensitive treatment to university students.

Originally from Charleston, SC, Francesca received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Alabama and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine with a focus on the treatment of trauma and grief in children, adolescents and young adults. In her free time, she enjoys baking and watching baking shows, reading fiction, traveling and doing all things outdoors.
