La Sierra University is hosting the Class of 2022 – Press Enterprise personal graduation

For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic, La Sierra University graduates received their diplomas on stage.

Nearly 440 students graduated from Riverside’s private Seventh-day Adventist University on Sunday, June 19, according to a press release. The Class of 2022 voted to return to an in-person graduation ceremony on campus as pandemic conditions improved, according to the press release.

The last time La Sierra hosted an in-person graduation was June 2019.

During the two-year hiatus from traditional beginnings, the university offered drive-thru celebrations in 2020 and 2021.
