Rotate account registration

All users require a Turning account. Faculty must register for a teacher account in order to use Turning for student engagement and assessment in class.

A Turning account can be created directly from WebCampus. That Turning Account Registration Link is available at Account in the global navigation menu on WebCampus. Both educators and students use this link to create their Turning account and connect their WebCampus account to Turning account. The connection between the two accounts allows faculty to transfer student attendance grades in Turning directly to the gradebook in WebCampus.

That Turning Account Registration The link can also be added to the course navigation menu. Go to the settings then click on the in the course navigation Tab Find Turning Account Registration and activate it. Save the settings. The registration link appears in the course menu. This is the same link as under User Account. Instructors and students can use either to create and access their Turning account.

Note: It is important that students register for a Turning account using this registration link on WebCampus. This ensures that their Turning account is connected to WebCampus. If they already have a Turning Account that is not connected to WebCampus, they will need to log into their Turning Account using this link to connect.

Add courses to the Active Course tab.

In order to upload or transfer student survey participation grades to WebCampus, faculty must activate the current courses in the Turning account. To do this, log in to Turning using the registration link on WebCampus. By default you will be redirected to courses Side. Click on that canvas Tab. The first time you access this tab, you will be prompted to authorize Turning to access your courses on Canvas. After completing authorization, you’ll see a list of all the courses in which you have an instructor role. Just notice that published courses appears on the list. Find the courses you want to activate and click on them Add to. Switch to Active Courses and you will see all the courses you have added. A click on the Choose The button takes you to the course, displays the list (and checks students’ subscription status and LMS connection), and creates content for web-based surveys.

TurningPoint Applications

Turning has both a web-based survey platform and desktop survey applications. The web-based platform can be accessed through the web portal of the instructor’s Turning account. Content can be created and presented in the course. The participant recordings are stored in the lecturer account and can be exported directly to WebCampus.

The TurningPoint Desktop Application is installed in all smart classrooms. Instructors must download and install the latest version of the TurningPoint Desktop App on their office/PC to create survey questions and manage data. To download the TurningPoint Desktop App, log into your Turning Account web portal. Click the download icon in the top right corner of the page and select the correct version for your computer (PC or Mac).

You must also enable mobile access for students to join the session and participate in survey activities.
