This is an opportunity to join the marketing team of a leading pet supplies retail company, where you will play a key role in managing text and content across different channels and platforms and providing ongoing marketing support in this regard. You would be part of a very ambitious, highly productive team with very high standards and a lot of passion and energy for the work you are doing.

This position requires a candidate with strong planning / coordination, communication and writing skills who have a good understanding of product and marketing content and its role in a retail organization.

You report to the Marketing Manager, but communicate with various people and departments in the company as well as with external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing content management and coordination
  • Evaluate the different platforms – social media pages and websites
  • Constantly propose content ideas and plans for the different platforms
  • Work with different team members to gather content and design elements to run the content plan
  • Implement, monitor and maintain content plans
  • Writing and proofreading texts for products, websites, articles, social media, and other marketing materials.
  • Research and write on various pet care topics.
  • Coordinate and manage all of the brand’s social media pages
  • Coordinate and implement content across three websites.
  • Stay up to date on changes to the various platforms and what that means for the company
  • Support of the department in all ad hoc marketing tasks

Experience and qualifications:

  • Completed training in the field of marketing / copywriting or similar.
  • At least 2 years of full-time work experience in a similar role
  • Writing experience (social media, product text, web text, short articles)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram, web platforms, GoogleMybusiness and Mailchimp,
  • Experience in graphic design or exposure is an asset

Required qualifications and / or experience:

  • Content management
  • Writing, editing and proofreading (across different marketing channels)
  • Social media management

Experience with the following platforms / programs required:

  • Mailchimp
  • Facebook Creator Studio (or similar)
  • Facebook advertising manager
  • Excel
