  1. On June 29, 2021 at about 9:52 p.m. the Victim of a car theft that occurred in the area of 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road in laurel. Two suspects jumped out of their vehicle and both pointed handguns at the victim, demanding his car keys and wallet. The victim gave them both and the suspects then fled in the victim’s vehicle, a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu. The victim was not injured in the incident and was unable to provide any information about the suspects. Detectives in the western district are investigating and ask everyone information to get in touch 410-222-6155 or the Top line at 410-222-4700. (Anne Arundel County)
  2. After this Laurel Museum stayed closed to the 15 months, that’s it now reopening! The life changing events of 2020 had the Employee collect and document the historic year to create and supplement the museum Exhibits. Ann Bennett, Executive Director of the Laurel Historical Societysaid they now have two large displays: ‘Response to COVID‘ and ‘Social justice in Laurel. ‘ Handwritten signs, a collection of face masks and lots of photos tell the story of Laurel’s past year.   3. The Bowie Baysox will the “Star Spangled 4th of July Concert & Fireworks Spectacle“at 7 p.m. Sunday in Prince Georgs Stadium. The event will be a Live concert by DC fusion and after the concert Independence Day fireworks.
